Flat Stanley and Flat Hal had a fantastic time at their first stop in The Cook Islands. The water here is amazing, it is different colors based on the depth, if there are coral reefs beneath the water, etc, so it has a variety of colors spread out in an amazing display.
The population of Aitutaki, in 2016, was just over 1,700 people. Is that smaller than the town you live in? My high school had more students than that, or thought of another way, my community, when I was in High School, has more kids between the ages of 14 and 19 than Aitutaki has people.
The Cook Islands have a population of roughly 17,500 as of that same 2016 census. How does that compare to the size of your community?
The population of Prince Edward Island, where Flat Stanley came from is 178,000. Flat Hal is from the state of Texas, which has an estimated population of 30,503,301.
Aitutaki, compared to many other places, has both a peacefulness, and a sense both of wide open spaces and being alone with this amazing natural world.
