Seeing the world 20/20

Have you had your eyes checked?  

Had a vision test, and been told whether or not you have 20/20 vision?

Ever heard the expression “hindsight is 20/20”?

Flat Hal went with me when I had my eyes checked this week, and we saw a great sign in the waiting room.

20/20 vision is a term that describes normal visual acuity, or the ability to see clearly at a distance of 20 feet. It means that a person can see what the average person can see on an eye chart when they are standing 20 feet away.

Britannica Dictionary definition of TWENTY–TWENTY

: having good vision and able to see without glasses

  • My mother has 20/20 vision.

twenty-twenty hindsight or 20/20 hindsight

: the full knowledge and complete understanding that you have about an event only after it has happened

  • With 20/20 hindsight we now see where our strategy went wrong.
